Our Vision and Mission Statement

The two greatest fears in modern dentistry still remain the fear of pain from rotary driven instruments (drills) and intra-oral injections with needles. Dental drills have existed since early in the twentieth century, initially driven by a series of pulleys, which produce a slow speed drill system. These devices cause significant vibration, generate heat and remove only the second layer (dentine) effectively.

The hi-speed turbine was introduced in 1955 by Borden, which allowed for rapid reduction of the outside tooth layer (enamel) when used with diamond drill bits. Noisy, vibratory and needing copious amounts of water to keep the tooth cool, patients prefer this to the slow speed drill generally. Both types of drills work most effectively on a relaxed and non-fearful patient. This is best accomplished by the use of a local anaesthetic, delivered by a fluid delivered via a sub-dermal needle to the target area.

Needles for local anaesthesia can be uncomfortable, if not painful, and many patients will not attend for dental treatment knowing that “the needle” is on it’s way.

Our vision is to create ground breaking devices and technology that is capable of complete removal of the outdated procedures and protocols of the 20th century. We will replace it with futuristic armamentarium that allows every dental healthcare provider to provide a fearless, pain free option for every patient.
